Read-only
Never writes to the BMS. The inverter link is not touched.

Questions
Do I have to use the cloud?
No. The cloud is on by default because it is the main reason people buy PylonCheck, but you can turn it off; the local features keep working.
Does Home Assistant need the cloud?
No. Home Assistant talks to the box on your network through MQTT or the JSON API.
Are updates free?
Yes, firmware updates for the box are free and installed from its own web page.
